▼ About the Lazer ZX7.5
The 1/10 scale EP (electric) buggy, particularly high-traction 4WD models, offers an ideal entry point into R/C cars while also representing a long-established racing category. From World Championships to elite competitions worldwide, this class delivers intense, high-performance racing. Kyosho’s latest weapon for this competitive arena is the Lazer ZX7.5. Carrying the legendary “Lazer” name synonymous with Kyosho’s 4WD racing buggies, it builds on the proven ZX7 platform with comprehensive refinements and new components, delivering performance capable of competing at the highest level. A key focus of the ZX7.5 is keeping pace with the ever-increasing speeds of modern racing. A newly designed main chassis combines optimized center of gravity and weight distribution to enhance overall performance. Components from the Ultima RB7.5 2WD buggy have also been strategically adopted to further elevate its capabilities. Beyond pure speed, the ZX7.5 also improves durability, expands setup options, and enhances maintenance efficiency. Modern buggy racing spans a wide range of surfaces from ultra-high-grip carpet and artificial turf to slippery dirt tracks, and the ZX7.5 is engineered to handle them all. Whether you’re aiming for competitive racing or stepping up from mid-range models like the Lazer SB Dirt Cross 4WD, you can rely on the Lazer ZX7.5 as a racing partner to perform at every level.
▼ POINT
● 1/10 scale 4WD racing buggy designed for wide range of surfaces from high-grip carpet to loose dirt tracks. ● Shaft-driven 4WD system delivers excellent drivetrain efficiency and high traction performance. ● Front and rear double wishbone suspension provides superior traction and stability. ● Optimized balance achieved through revised front-to-rear weight distribution and component layout. ● Floating servo mount and battery holder preserve chassis flex for improved handling. ● Includes two types of front upper plates for fine-tuning front-end grip characteristics. ● Sliding motor mount allows easy gear backlash adjustment and quick motor removal. ● Includes mount for optional motor cooling fan installation. ● Front universal shafts feature retaining rings to prevent pin loss, supporting high-power setups. ● R/C system, ESC, motor, chassis battery, and front/rear tires are required separately.
Thickness of the high-rigidity A7075-T6 aluminum main chassis has been reduced from 2.5mm to 2.0mm for lighter weight. Increased chassis flex also contributes to improved grip.
Centre bulkhead (gearbox) is positioned 7mm further forward compared to the Lazer ZX7, rebalancing front-to-rear weight distribution for improved traction and stability. It is equipped with a geared center differential, with an optional slipper clutch conversion available.
Steering servo stay changed to a one-piece aluminum design. Floating servo mount layout minimizes the effect on chassis flex for smoother steering characteristics.
Includes new aluminum big bore oil shocks with φ13mm pistons as standard. Resin damper caps improve speed over surface gaps and recovery from changes in posture for improved driving stability.
Newly designed 4mm thick carbon shock towers combine lightweight construction with high rigidity. Contributing to a lower center of gravity, the front tower also features a protective resin cover to prevent damage during rollovers.
Caster angle can be adjusted to 7°, 10°, or 13° by changing resin bushings. Enables quick setup changes to suit driver preference and track conditions.
New design rear hub carrier separates the upper arm mounting point to allow adjustment of upper arm length, mounting height, and roll center. Outer suspension pin height can also be changed with resin bushings. High-rigidity aluminum construction.
Sintered steel internal gears deliver higher durability in the front and rear differentials. Revised gear ratios enhance stability. Also compatible with optional ball differential units.
Designed exclusively for shorty LiPo batteries. The compact carbon battery holder secures the pack without fully restricting it, preserving chassis flex characteristics.
High-downforce forward-cabin body design improves aerodynamic performance. The rear wing is shared with the Ultima RB7.5 2WD model, delivering stable downforce and increased grip.
Front Upper Plates (2 Types) ・Type A: Promotes front-end roll with sharper steering response. ・Type X: Increased front rigidity for improved stability.
