Four wheel drive MINI-Z AWD Components

DRIVELINE

AWD series is the four-wheel drive model of the MINI-Z. Install special drift tires to enjoy the fun of real drift driving. Setting adjustments can be made to suit your style of drift driving.

CHASSIS & RADIO SYSTEM

Uses shaft drive 4WD system. Midship motor mount is positioned towards the front of the photo, while the battery is located on the opposite side. With the rearrangement of some parts, the wheelbase and tread can be adjusted to fit different body styles. The KT-19 transmitter operates on FHS 2.4GHz and features trims to control the optional light unit. (※Not compatible with ASF/MHS/FHSS2.4GHz systems).

DETAILS

1. Motor: 130-class motor with maximum speed of about 17km/h.

2. Pinion Gear: Transfers power with minimal loss with 1/100mm precision construction. Change number of gear modules to change maximum speed and acceleration characteristics.

3. Spur Gear: Transfers power with minimal loss with 1/100mm precision construction.

4. Differential: Inner wheel turning speed can be adjusted to realize smooth cornering with the high performance differential with bevel gears included as standard.

5. Drive Shaft: Transfers power smoothly from rear to front.

6. Front Differential: Equipped with high performance bevel gear differential that adjusts inside wheel speed so the car moves smoothly through corners.

7. Bearings: Fully equipped with precision ball bearings to minimize power loss.

8. Universal Swing Shaft: Transfers power smoothly to the tires, even while steering.

9. Knuckle: Can be set to negative camber by installing camber knuckles (with built-in camber angle).

10. Tie Rods: Toe-in angle can be adjusted by installing different length tie rods.

SUSPENSION

Equipped with VCS (variable camber system) that adjusts camber in conjunction with front suspension stroke. Steers like you’re on the rails while maintaining neutral steering feel by eliminating toe-in and toe-out movement with suspension stroke. Rear suspension uses a strut system for its superior reliability and minimal change to alignment.

DIFFERENTIAL

MINI-Z AWD is equipped with high performance bevel gear differential to control the different turning speeds of inner and outer wheels as the car moves smoothly through corners.

While the MINI-Z AWD series is an easy choice as a first RC car, it has the performance and potential of a true racing car. A huge range of optional upgrade parts is available to increase running performance and add personal style touches to your machine.

Drift car equates to negative camber, so first find the right camber setting

Camber angle is the angle of the tire in relation to the road surface. For a drift machine, this is a critical point. The MINI-Z AWD Sports is equipped with cambered knuckles on front and rear to realize negative camber. Conservative camber and ‘negative camber’ specifications are both available.

Look sharp with the LED Light Unit

The LED Light Unit can be installed easily onto the AWD Sports model. Different body styles may require holes to be made. The lights on front and rear activate with throttle input. The light flash speed can be adjusted through trims on the transmitter.

Driving performance is crucial

Drift driving is a little more challenging than normal grip driving. The optional gyro unit can assist with automatic counter steer. This amazing unit detects chassis instability and automatically corrects the chassis through steering.

High performance transmitter with full color touch display. Each setting can be adjusted through the touch screen, similar to a smartphone. In addition to high performance response, the transmitter features graphical representation of key RC car settings such as end point and exponential.
