Thank you to all of the Inferno customers!

Thank you to all of the Inferno customers!

For 30 years Kyosho has delivered on the Inferno philosophy of bringing the most advanced R/C racing technology to Inferno drivers all over the world. Since the birth of the first Inferno in 1991, each model change has introduced revolutionary design and technology that has changed the face of 1/8 off-road GP buggy racing. This legacy continues with the latest model 10th generation MP10 TKI2. We would like to thank all Inferno drivers for sharing the Inferno experience and competing in the RC’s premier racing category.

Thank you for “INFERNO KEY PERSONS ” message

  • Kokushi Toge
    1992 World Champion

My first encounter with a Kyosho car was in 1979 and it was a Kyosho back-wheel drive 1/8 engine buggy with rear engine and no oil shocks. At that time, engines and other devices such as the radio systems etc. were not at a high level so it had trouble running straight. But I was still absorbed by the car and enjoyed driving it. Also there were no timers at race tracks and hand-held loud speakers were used for announcements. Drivers stood on beer crates. This is how I remember the early days. Then I attended my first Japan National Championships in Honmoku Yokohama in 1987 with a Burns. Following that, my first world championship was in Thailand in 1990, and then I competed at the next world championships in Germany in 1992 driving the “Inferno”. I came third in the heat and won the final, so I became the world champion! This event affected my views and values of life for the next 20 years. I truly appreciate Kyosho for the time and place at this event that enabled me to become World Champion, as I was just one user who chose to drive the Kyosho Inferno. Thank you so much for what you have done for me!

    2000 World Champion

The first 1/8 off road world championship was held in 1986 in Grenoble France. While this was a remarkable event, there is one race that is a once in a lifetime memory. The scene was Las Vegas in the year 2000 for the 8th 1/8 Off Road Buggy World Championship. In the first major race after the release of the Inferno MP7.5, I was able to realize my long held dream of winning a World Championship title. I have competed in every 1/8 off road world championship. I cannot tell my history without Kyosho as they are one and the same. I would like to continue helping Kyosho make history into the future.

Kyosho’s heritage in 1/8 off road is second to none. To have won a world championship driving the Kyosho inferno was a dream of mine and without the Kyosho family it would not have been possible and for that I am forever grateful.

Congratulations Kyosho and Yuichi Kanai on the 30 year anniversary of Inferno 1/8 scale buggies. It was beyond our wildest dreams to work so closely with Yuichi and all the Kyosho family, let alone Cody winning a World Championship in Thailand. My fondest memory is the Champagne shower after the race, and all the congratulations and elation getting the 8th Inferno world title. What a feeling. Kyosho has always been such a great professional company, and we have been blessed to be a part of it. Cheers.

It’s crazy that the Inferno series has been out for 30 years now. I remember when I first started racing nitro 7 years ago how popular the Kyosho Inferno’s were. It wasn’t long after I started nitro I had a Kyosho Inferno Tki3. Congratulations and I am grateful to be part of it.

"I can't believe the Inferno turned 30 already! Stay at the top over 3 decades is a huge performance and that's not going to stop. That's surely why Inferno is not only a 1:8 scale buggy, Inferno is a master piece of R/C model history, a part of Kyosho DNA, bringing so many great memories. Just cant' thank enough Kyosho Corporation and Kanai-san for that!"
